Job Title: Traditional Labor Law Associate

At Jackson Lewis P.C., we are seeking a skilled Traditional Labor Law Associate to join our team in our Riverside, CA office. As a key member of our labor and employment law practice, you will play a critical role in representing employers in traditional labor relations matters, including union organizing, collective bargaining, and grievance and arbitration proceedings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent management in NLRB elections and provide legal advice on union organizing, corporate campaigns, card check, and neutrality agreements.
  • Negotiate and provide legal advice on collective bargaining agreements, handle unfair labor practice charges at the NLRB, and obtain mass picketing injunctions.
  • Advising employers on federal and California wage and hour issues, leave management, disability accommodating issues, and other workplace issues.
  • Reviewing handbooks, policies, and forms for compliance with federal and state law, reviewing compensation, commission, and bonus plans, and conducting management training on labor relations, federal and California workplace issues, and harassment, discrimination, and retaliation.
Requirements:
  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • 4-6 years of experience in litigation or advice work as an attorney.
  • Traditional labor experience preferred, with federal and/or California advice and counsel work preferred.
  • CA Bar Admission.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational and project management skills, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Bilingual, English and Spanish, is preferred but not required.
