Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with hiring managers to craft detailed job descriptions and attractive job postings, develop effective screening questions, and manage requisition postings.
  • Collaborate with the proposal team to formulate staffing strategies and execute recruitment efforts to secure essential resources for competitive proposals.
  • Establish a network of professionals within the government contracting sector through platforms like LinkedIn and Clearance Jobs; utilize these connections to source qualified candidates for open roles.
  • Conduct research and draft job descriptions for new positions as needed.
  • Innovate sourcing strategies and identify talent through the ATS, job boards, postings, referrals, and participation in industry events. Continuously evaluate sourcing methods for effectiveness and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Consult with candidates to understand their motivations and guide them through the recruitment process.
  • Screen candidates to ensure they meet the qualifications and are thoroughly vetted for the position.
  • Negotiate offers, prepare offer letters, and follow up to ensure successful candidate acceptance.
  • Participate in meetings with hiring managers to assess current and future staffing needs.
  • Engage in special projects as assigned, including transitions for new contracts and corporate initiatives focused on process enhancement or innovation.
  • Willingness to travel for site visits or recruitment events may be required.

Qualifications:

  • One of the following education/experience combinations:
    • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; OR,
    • Master's degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience; OR,
    • 14+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience in DoD recruitment and/or technical recruiting is highly preferred.
  • Proven ability in cold calling and relationship building.
  • Experience in identifying, engaging, and evaluating candidates.
  • Ability to assess candidates' qualifications against Performance Work Statements (PWS) and Statements of Work (SOW).
  • Proficient in negotiations and articulating the value of the position.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Apogee offers two medical plan options: a high deductible health plan with HSA and HRA, and a traditional POS plan with co-pays, along with dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, PTO, paid holidays, and various types of paid leave.
  • This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.
  • The salary range for this role is $80,000 to $120,000, determined by various factors including job-related knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, training, and education.
