The Unit Clerk provides critical support services to the nursing, clinical, and medical staff at Telecare Corporation's Heritage Psychiatric Health Facility. This role involves a range of clerical and technical tasks, including documentation, admissions, and scheduling appointments.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain accurate medical records, including filing and assembling documents
- Schedule appointments and manage routine maintenance of Electronic Health Records
- Provide high-quality clerical assistance to nursing and medical staff, as requested
- Manage supplies and maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Answer phone calls, take messages, and screen calls as assigned
- High school graduation or equivalent
- 6 months experience as a unit clerk or administrative support staff in a healthcare environment
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and Electronic Health Record (EHR)
- CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certification
- Experience working with the general public in a healthcare environment
- Completion of unit clerk certification program
