Job Summary

The Competency Restoration Program Manager is responsible for developing, planning, coordinating, and administering clinical services and program development for the Competency Restoration Program at Georgetown Behavioral Health Institute.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develops and implements evidence-based programming for the Competency Restoration Program.
  • Measures programming effectiveness over time and strategizes to continually improve programming and service delivery.
  • Coordinates with Senior Leadership on performance improvement initiatives and engages with staff on best practices for programming and population engagement.
  • Oversees the provision of all aspects of the Competency Restoration Program, including clinical services, social services, and recreational therapy.
  • Coordinates department cohesion with other organizational programs in cooperation with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Responsible for setting programming and schedules for the Competency Restoration Program in accordance with the Director of Clinical Services.
  • Serves as a resource and referral source for patients, physicians, staff, and the general community.
  • Provides in-service training for Competency Restoration staff and other employees as needed.
  • Conducts psychosocial assessments to document history and identify preliminary issues for treatment focus.
  • Develops and coordinates individualized discharge plans for patients.
  • Attends regular treatment team meetings to provide social work perspectives and discuss progress notes and charts.
  • Carries out personnel management activities associated with direct staff supervision, including screening, selection, orientation, training, and development.
Requirements
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience in inpatient and outpatient settings, with skills in case management, time management, and crisis intervention.
  • Knowledge of acute psychological disorders and advanced principles of abnormal psychology.
  • Familiarity with follow-up resource services and skills in conducting marital and family group therapy.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
  • Must obtain and maintain approved CPR certification and Management of Assaultive Behavior training.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Basic PC skills, including Microsoft Office and typing.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise diplomacy and tact.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Cultural sensitivity and ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to manage conflict and negotiate win-win solutions.
