Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to join our team at UniFirst. As a Fleet Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet vehicles to ensure they are in safe working condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify all vehicles and drivers are properly licensed and insured.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations, to prevent breakdowns and extend the life of our vehicles.
  • Conduct repairs and maintenance on fleet vehicles, including brake repairs, suspension work, and electrical system repairs.
  • Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System to track and manage maintenance and repair activities.
  • Work with our team to ensure all fleet vehicles are in safe working condition and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership, including occasional road calls and overtime work.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma and/or GED equivalent is preferred.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Valid driver's license and a safe driving record are required.
  • Must meet DOT requirements.
  • 3 – 5 years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience, including preventative maintenance, tire and wheel repair, air and hydraulic brake repair, drivetrain repair, computerized diagnostics, suspension repair, electrical system repair, and A/C repair.
  • Proven computer skills and ability to use diagnostic software.
  • Ability to lift up to 80lbs.
