Responsibilities:
  • Ensure a clean and therapeutic environment for all patients in the post-operative area.
  • Manage supplies and equipment to ensure they are available and in good working order.
  • Assess patient needs and communicate additional discharge requirements when necessary.
  • Explain nursing procedures to patients to reduce anxiety.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing or vocational school.
  • Registered Nurse (active and unencumbered license) in the State of Texas.
  • BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications.
  • Previous pre-operative care experience is preferred.
