We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating CT scanners and other radiographic equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
Key Responsibilities:- Diagnostic Imaging Procedures: Perform diagnostic procedures, using knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the age of the patient served, including routine, emergent, biopsy, and/or special procedure examinations in accordance with department policies and procedures.
- Communication and Patient Care: Communicate all necessary information to other members of the healthcare team. Provide service-oriented communication with patients, explaining procedures and answering questions.
- Equipment Maintenance and Quality Assurance: Maintain and troubleshoot equipment, restock supplies, and clean the assigned room.
- Administrative Tasks: File work, reception, and computer tasks, including PACs functions.
- Experience: Minimum one (1) year experience as a CT technologist within the past 2 years or minimum six (6) months experience in an acute hospital setting within the last year.
- Education: High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
- License and Certification: Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License (Oregon) required at hire OR Registered Radiologic Technologist (Washington) required at hire.
- Prior Experience: Prior CT work experience using helical and/or multi-detector technology.
- Education: Associates degree or higher in Radiologic Science or related field.
