Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Strategic Planning: Set the vision for nursing practice and develop strategic plans to achieve excellence in patient care.
  • Nursing Staff Management: Direct, supervise, and evaluate the work activities of all nursing personnel to ensure effective and efficient department operation.
  • Clinical Leadership: Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff to ensure the delivery of safe, timely, efficient, equitable, and patient-centered care.
  • Quality Improvement: Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and satisfaction.
  • Operational Efficiency: Anticipate and effectively manage changes in census and acuity, and allocate nursing resources accordingly.
  • Staff Development: Lead and develop the nursing staff within the facility, providing performance goals, feedback, and development opportunities.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing required; Master's degree in psychiatric or mental health nursing preferred.
  • Experience: Five or more years of nursing experience, with three or more years of progressive managerial experience required.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Current Indiana RN license, CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required.
