Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineering Manager to oversee our engineering division. This role is perfect for someone who is enthusiastic about automotive manufacturing, cost efficiency, and ongoing enhancement. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in tooling management, manufacturing engineering, and maintenance oversight. They should also have a solid history of managing capital budgets and projects, addressing facility-related challenges, and establishing standard operating procedures. Occasional travel to various sites may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct the manufacturing engineering team, ensuring timely and budget-compliant project completion.
- Formulate and execute strategies for cost reduction to enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage tooling, manufacturing engineering, and maintenance functions to achieve peak performance.
- Supervise capital budgeting and project management, aligning with corporate objectives.
- Address facility-related concerns swiftly and effectively.
- Lead and mentor the engineering team, promoting a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Monitor engineering expenditures to ensure alignment with the capital budget.
- Evaluate manufacturing processes, pinpointing improvement opportunities and implementing necessary changes.
- Standardize work procedures across all operations to maintain consistency and quality.
- Ensure adherence to TS16949/ISO14001 standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
- 3 to 5 years of managerial experience, ideally in the automotive sector.
- Proficient in Excel and other relevant software tools.
- Strong technical and analytical skills in engineering.
- Proven experience in tooling management, manufacturing engineering, and maintenance.
- Background in cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrated capability in managing capital budgets and projects.
- Familiarity with TS16949/ISO14001 standards.
- Willingness to travel to various sites as necessary.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
