Job Summary:

The Mastectomy Fitter performs a wide range of duties from direct patient care to general clerical tasks. This role is a perfect way to support patients walking through Breast Cancer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consults with mastectomy patients and performs an assessment of cosmetic needs and goals.
  • Develops a fitting plan and determines options, performs patient fittings, and educates patients on options.
  • Supports and conforms to the ABC Code of Professional Responsibility.
  • General clerical duties include scheduling meetings and creating and maintaining filing systems.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma required. College-level coursework preferred.
  • Mastectomy Fitter Certification from The American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics, and Pedorthics required or must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
  • One year of experience in retail/healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of breast DME, bras, and breast surgery outcomes.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
