Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Power Systems Engineer to support our client’s operations.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure that all equipment adheres to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
2. Monitor engineering expenditures and compliance with capital budgets.
3. Aid in the design, installation, modification, and maintenance of both new and existing equipment and facilities.

Essential Duties:
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, analyze product discrepancies, propose solutions, and facilitate cost-reduction strategies.
• Assist in training team members and provide daily operational support.
• Identify performance issues through data analysis and technical expertise in products and processes, including waste management.
• Support the preparation of cost estimates, financial justifications for projects, budget preparations, design reviews, and oversee installation and commissioning of systems.
• Research innovative equipment, systems, and processes to enhance plant operations on smaller projects.

Compliance and Safety:
• Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance by addressing EHS concerns and improving interdepartmental communication.

Contractor Management:
• Assist in managing contractors and periodically review their work to ensure compliance with safety practices and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering and maintenance teams to achieve cost-effective solutions.
• Preferred experience in equipment design and project engineering or management roles.

Skills:
• Proficient in using computer-based technologies, programming, debugging, and troubleshooting machinery.
• Knowledgeable in modern safety control systems design.
• Ability to interpret and create technical CAD drawings and electrical schematics.
