Job Title: Peer AdvocateAbout the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Support Advocate to join our team at Children's Law Center of California.

In this role, you will work closely with our transition age youth (TAY) clients, particularly those who are young adults in foster care, to ensure they have access to necessary resources and services.

About Us

Children's Law Center of California is the largest children's legal services organization in the nation, advocating for tens of thousands of children and youth in foster care systems.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with community organizations to help clients prepare for job readiness and improve access to higher education
  • Work daily with attorneys and staff to serve and advocate for youth
  • Contribute to policy and programming discussions regarding TAY and NMD clients
  • Represent CLC at community events, forums, and trainings
Requirements
  • Lived experience in the foster care system as a former foster youth
  • At least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Willingness and ability to travel
  • Valid California driver's license, reliable automobile, and automobile insurance
Compensation and Benefits

$25.00-$43.00 per hour, depending on experience
