Position Overview:
As an Automotive Tire & Service Consultant, you will gain practical experience in one of Goodyear's service centers by establishing meaningful connections with customers while delivering exceptional service. You will also learn about quality, sales, and profitability, and how to thrive in a collaborative environment. The Automotive Tire & Service Consultant is responsible for ensuring an outstanding service experience by building strong relationships with both new and returning customers. Key Responsibilities:
- Drive sales and profitability for the store by effectively selling tires and recommended automotive services while clearly communicating benefits and product features.
- Build customer relationships and ensure satisfaction by understanding their needs.
- Communicate all promotions and advertising for products and services.
- Manage customer interactions from initial contact through to service completion, including check-in, appointment scheduling, accurate time estimation, and checkout.
- Contribute to promotional merchandising and special events.
- Effectively communicate warranties, promotions, and advertisements to customers.
- Utilize provided tools to make recommendations based on manufacturer guidelines.
- Assist the Service Manager with information regarding customer vehicles as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment for both staff and customers.
- Perform various manual tasks for extended periods, which may include lifting, standing, bending, and squatting.
- Prior experience in automotive customer service.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- No relocation assistance is available for this position.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in tire sales.
- Prior experience in automotive service sales.
- Strong work ethic; self-motivated to achieve results with minimal supervision.
- Hardworking individual who diligently completes tasks and demonstrates qualities such as responsibility, dependability, effective communication, and teamwork.
- Ability to review, analyze, and interpret information, identify issues, and make informed decisions.
- Ability to read, understand, and adhere to procedures and guidelines.
- Store hours may vary, including weekends and some holidays.
- Commitment to following established safety policies and procedures.
