Nursing RoleAs an Intermediate Care/Progressive Care Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Collaborating with medical professionals, you will provide both pre-operative and post-operative nursing services, advocating for patients to ensure an exceptional healthcare experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesYour role will include:
- Assessing, planning, and evaluating patient care needs while delivering culturally competent care in accordance with physician directives.
- Administering prescribed medications, changing dressings, monitoring vital signs, and educating patients and their families.
- Providing respiratory care and ventilator management, documenting patient conditions using the Meditech system, and participating in discharge planning.
- Mentoring and orienting new staff members.
To be considered for this position, you should possess:
- A current Indiana RN license or an active Compact State RN license.
- A degree from an accredited nursing program, with an Associate's Degree as a minimum requirement.
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
- ACLS and NIHSS certifications obtained within six months of hire, maintained throughout employment.
- Completion of TCAT course within the first year of employment.
- Strong customer service skills and effective listening abilities.
- Critical thinking skills and the capacity to thrive in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills across all shifts and units.
