Registered Nurse RN Intermediate Care PCU

We are seeking a skilled Intermediate Care Registered Nurse to join our team at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient-centered care, collaborating with medical providers to deliver exceptional outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care needs, providing age and culturally appropriate care while carrying out physician orders.
- Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, monitor vital signs, and instruct and educate patients and families.
- Provide respiratory and ventilator management and monitoring for patients, and be part of the healthcare team that oversees discharge planning needs.
- Support new staff through mentoring and orientation.
Requirements:
- Current Indiana RN licensure or active Compact State RN license.
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional registered nursing, Associates Degree required.
- Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider.
- ACLS, and NIHSS certification obtained within 6 months of hire date. Certifications to be maintained throughout employment.
- TCAT course completion within a year of employment.
- Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.
- Critical thinking skills, crucial discernment, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent collaboration between all staff/units and shifts.
