Job Overview

The Warehouse Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in the efficient management of warehouse activities, including the unloading, organization, selection, and preparation of equipment and materials. This position emphasizes delivering exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery to load, unload, and transfer goods without causing damage.
  • Ensure all received items are processed according to established protocols and stored in designated areas.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist in conducting cycle counts.
  • Handle Will Calls efficiently.
  • Complete all necessary documentation and transaction entries accurately and on time.
  • Adhere to safety protocols by wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and uniform during shifts.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and equipment, performing pre- and post-shift inspections on forklifts and reporting any issues to management.
  • Assist customers and customer service representatives as required.
  • Follow established operating procedures and company policies diligently.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Position Scope:

  • Possesses a comprehensive understanding of job responsibilities.
  • Follows established procedures closely with minimal discretion.
  • Work is supervised closely, with straightforward tasks.
  • Communicates facts, policies, and practices relevant to the role.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • High attention to detail and awareness of surroundings.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation.
  • Proficient in loading and unloading products.
  • Ability to operate a forklift safely in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must pass required assessments and be eligible for in-house forklift certification within 30 days.
  • Dependable team player with a positive attitude towards building relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment.

Experience and Education:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse setting.
  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Valid driver's license is mandatory.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be capable of performing essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Reporting Structure:

  • Reports directly to the Warehouse Manager.
