Job Description

We are seeking a Senior PLC Engineer to join our team at Jobot, a global manufacturer and development partner of automotive aluminum and magnesium cast components. As a Senior PLC Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated control systems to support our production requirements and goals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in programming languages such as C++ and Python. You will also possess excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

* Design, develop, and implement automated control systems using industrial control systems (ICS) and programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
* Collaborate with machine vendors, maintenance, and process engineers to develop effective automated solutions
* Perform electrical troubleshooting and wiring tasks
* Establish and maintain comprehensive inventory of all machine software packages within the area of responsibility
* Ensure strict adherence to OSHA, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and all automotive industry standards
* Identify Environmental Aspects for his/her department and support Environmental Management Plan (EMP) goals and targets through training, engagement, and communication

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
* 2 years of experience in electrical automation, with a focus on ICS and PLCs
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to apply statistical techniques and mathematical operations
* Proficiency with electrical concepts and robotics knowledge

Estimated Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 per year
