Gastroenterology Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Covenant Physician Partners. As a key member of our gastroenterology team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our board-certified physicians and advanced practice providers.
Responsibilities- Treat digestive diseases through comprehensive history taking, physical exams, and diagnostic testing.
- Diagnose, treat, evaluate, and manage acute and chronic illness and disease.
- Obtain medical histories and conduct physical examinations.
- Make decisions regarding data gathering and appropriate management and treatment of patients.
- Maintain accurate documentation in patients' medical records.
- Document symptom assessment, communicate with collaborating physicians, and initiate requests for laboratory studies and diagnostic tests.
- Prescribe medications for acute and chronic illnesses, counsel and educate patients on health behaviors, and refer patients to health programs and community resources.
- Maryland Nurse Practitioner License required.
- Current and valid federal DEA certificate to prescribe controlled substances.
- Experience in Gastroenterology preferred.
