Key Responsibilities

Routine Maintenance: Conduct systematic maintenance inspections on all machinery and vehicles to guarantee they are in peak operational condition.

Problem Diagnosis: Detect mechanical issues through comprehensive evaluations and the use of diagnostic instruments.

Repair Work: Fix and substitute faulty components, utilizing hand tools, power tools, and welding apparatus as required.

Record Keeping: Keep meticulous documentation of maintenance and repair activities, including service orders and safety documentation.

Adherence to Safety Standards: Follow all safety regulations and ensure that all repair and maintenance tasks comply with industry safety guidelines.

Communication with Stakeholders: Clearly convey information to supervisors, colleagues, and clients regarding the condition of equipment and any required repairs.

Team Training and Assistance: Offer guidance and training to fellow team members on the correct operation and upkeep of machinery.

Required Qualifications

Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a technician, ideally within the construction or heavy machinery sector.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanics or a related discipline is advantageous.

Essential Skills:

  • Expertise in utilizing diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical systems and their components.
  • Capability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Outstanding problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.

Physical Demands: Ability to lift substantial weights, remain standing for extended periods, and work in varying weather conditions.

  • Good manual dexterity and effective use of hand tools and other equipment necessary for machinery repairs.
  • An associate's degree from a vocational program, technical school, or community college is preferred - ASE certification is a significant advantage.
  • A valid state-issued driver's license is required.
  • A strong work ethic and excellent communication skills are essential.
