The Texas Health & Human Services Commission is seeking a highly skilled Nurse III Charge Nurse to provide advanced nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities at a State Supported Living Center in Texas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive physical health assessments to identify and address medical needs
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide critical care as needed
  • Lead and supervise nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate medical services and ensure continuity of care

Requirements:

  • At least one year of nursing experience, preferably in a long-term care or developmental disability setting
  • Licensure as a registered nurse in Texas or a state that recognizes reciprocity
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, and registry checks
  • Flexibility in work hours, including weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field
  • Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
