Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct floodplain and HEC-RAS modeling
  • Investigate watersheds and drainage areas, performing necessary hydrologic and hydraulic computations for the design and analysis of intricate drainage systems and stormwater management basins
  • Assist in the preparation and modification of reports, construction plans, and project designs
  • Oversee the delivery of project discipline scope elements and aid in developing project quantity and cost estimates
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in watershed and drainage area investigation, along with hydrologic and hydraulic computations for drainage system design
  • Experience in culvert sizing
  • Proficient in hydrologic and hydraulic software such as HydroCAD, StormCAD, HEC-RAS, and HEC-HMS
  • Familiarity with the design of New York Stormwater BMPs is advantageous
  • Knowledge of LOMA, LOMR, and CLOMR permitting is preferred
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus
Essential Requirements:
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend plans and instructions in English
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as communication tools like Outlook, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams
  • Capable of navigating construction sites with uneven terrain
  • Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) while on site
