Licensure Requirements:

· Must hold New York State Certification as a Nurse's Aide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with mobility and transfers to and from various locations.
  • Support residents with feeding and hydration needs.
  • Manage personal hygiene tasks including bedpan and urinal assistance.
  • Ensure cleanliness and comfort for residents.
  • Provide bathing and skincare assistance.
  • Help residents with dressing and undressing.
  • Facilitate participation in religious services as needed.
  • Engage in bowel and bladder rehabilitation programs.
  • Collect specimens and monitor intake and output, maintaining accurate records.
  • Measure vital signs and prepare necessary care equipment as directed.
  • Observe and report any changes in residents' conditions to the supervising nurse.
  • Complete required documentation before the end of the shift.
  • Participate in mandatory training sessions as per regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas.
  • Foster a cooperative and respectful work environment.
  • Uphold a professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Provide additional support with resident care as needed.
  • Adhere to organizational policies and safety protocols.
  • Report any incidents or safety concerns promptly.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident and organizational information.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
