Electrical Engineer Job Description

At Raytheon Careers, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Product Design and Packaging (PDP) Team. As an Electrical Computer Aided Designer, you will play a critical role in developing best-in-industry technologies that align product capabilities with customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop PCBs, Circuit Card Assemblies, and Schematic drawings for suppliers
  • Utilize software such as Siemens to create rigid, flex, and rigid-flex assemblies
  • Collaborate with various engineering levels and disciplines to ensure design requirements are captured, considering cost, cycle time, and producibility
  • Work on full designs, re-spins, drawing updates, change notices, copper changes, and process improvement projects
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • Experience with the electrical design process, including RF layout, and history with laying out Rigid, Flex, or Rigid-Flex boards
  • Working knowledge of Analog, Digital, RF, Power, and mixed technology, including multi-layer designs with High Density Interconnect (HDI) technology
  • Export manufacturing data in both Gerber and ODB++ formats
  • Use of Valor NPI, Design for Manufacturing rule sets, and other Design Rule Checking software
  • Working knowledge of military and commercial design standards, GD&T techniques, and overall producibility considerations related to electronic packaging
  • Active Secret DoD security clearance
