Job Summary

We are seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist I (PRN) to join our team at St. Joseph Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical skills, and attention to detail to contribute to patient care and treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform laboratory tests on blood, tissues, and other bodily fluids to aid in the diagnosis of diseases and conditions.
  • Interpret lab test results and identify any abnormalities.
  • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of these results to assist doctors in making informed decisions about patient care.
  • Implement and monitor the quality control program to maintain high standards in laboratory testing.
  • Keep accurate and detailed records of all laboratory tests performed and their results.
Requirements
  • ASCP certification, or equivalent, required within 1 year of employment.
  • One year hospital laboratory work experience preferred, but not required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological Science, or Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid State License if the laboratory is located in a state where required.
