Job Title: DB2 DBA Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled DB2 DBA Consultant to join our team at Saxon Global. As a DB2 DBA Consultant, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining large and complex databases in various MongoDB versions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement MongoDB multi-sharded clusters and monitor them using Ops Manager.
  • Develop and maintain high-performance database applications using MongoDB.
  • Ensure the continuous availability of mission-critical MongoDB clusters using replication across data centers.
  • Perform database administration, maintenance, performance analysis, and capacity planning.
  • Develop and implement data backup and recovery strategies using Mongo dump, restore, and Mongo export, import.
  • Develop and implement data indexing strategies using mongo utilities like Mongo stat, and Mongo top.
  • Install and configure Ops Manager for MongoDB.
  • Develop and implement data encryption strategies for DB2 filesystems.
  • Develop and implement data replication strategies using IBM CDC replication tool (Change data capture).
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in MongoDB installation, configuration, and administration.
  • Experience in designing MongoDB multi-sharded clusters and monitoring with Ops Manager.
  • Hands-on experience in creating replica sets, sharded clusters, and data backup and recovery.
  • Experience in managing multi-node MongoDB clusters.
  • Experience in data indexing, data encryption, and data replication.
  • Experience in developing and implementing data backup and recovery strategies.
  • Experience in developing and implementing data encryption strategies.
  • Experience in developing and implementing data replication strategies.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Sybase and PostgreSQL database administration.
  • Experience in Oracle DB upgrade.
  • Good knowledge of Shell scripting.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
