Job Title: Mental Health Counselor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Counselor to join our team at Compass Community Health. As a Mental Health Counselor, you will be responsible for providing assessments, determining appropriateness of service, and providing direct treatment services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct diagnostic assessments and determine patient appropriateness for service.
  2. Provide individual counseling sessions with patients and ensure the implementation of treatment plans.
  3. Document patient activity, develop treatment plans, and provide written updates to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
  4. Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement treatment plans.
  5. Provide case management services, including community linkage and resource development for patients.
  6. Ensure all services are managed and conducted legally, ethically, and in accordance with the highest professional standards.

Requirements:

  1. Active LISW licensure preferred, with strong interest in Telemedicine delivery method. LSW, LPCC, LPC, etc., considered.
  2. Prior counseling experience in outpatient or inpatient setting preferred.
  3. Degree in Behavioral Science or related field required.
  4. Maintains applicable agency trainings.
  5. Valid Ohio Motor Vehicle License required and ability to maintain insurability.
  6. Maintain CPR/First Aid training.

  2. Ability to make decisions and demonstrate sound judgment.
  3. Ability to manage self and tasks for maximum efficiency.
  4. Knowledge of federal and state laws, and public and private resources pertaining to counseling services.
