School Maintenance Specialist

An ESS substitute custodian plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of school facilities. This ensures every school day runs smoothly and students can focus on learning.
In addition to regular building maintenance functions, the school custodian provides direct support to classroom teachers in setting up and maintaining furniture and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance duties before, during, and after school hours
- Clean all areas of school buildings according to district standards, including floors, windows, furniture, and restrooms
- Deliver supplies and materials to appropriate areas of the building
- Complete grounds keeping duties
About the Role:
This position requires a high school diploma or GED, as well as various certifications and clearances. These include PA Department of Education Form 6004: Arrest/Conviction Report and Certification - Act 24, PA State Police Criminal History Clearance - Act 34, Federal Criminal History Clearance - Act 114, Mandated Child Abuse Reporter Training - Act 126, Child Abuse Clearance - Act 151, Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release - Act 168, and Tuberculosis Test/Physical.
