Job Title: Surgical Technologist 2

Inova Health System is seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist 2 to join its high-acuity, fast-paced operating room team at the Inova Fairfax Medical Campus Tower OR Unit.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Surgical Technologist to work in a dynamic and challenging environment. As a Surgical Technologist 2, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and supporting the surgical team in a variety of complex procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the surgical team in preparing the operating room and ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  • Prepare and maintain aseptic fields and equipment, and ensure that all surgical instruments are properly sterilized and stored.
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and the surgical team, and provide support as needed.
  • Collaborate with the circulating nurse to ensure that all patient care needs are met.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans, and contribute to the overall quality of patient care.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist required.
  • Licensed Surgical Technologist via Commonwealth of Virginia required upon start.
  • Basic Life Support via American Heart Association required upon start.
  • One of the following Surgical Technologist certification is highly preferred: CST via NBSTSA or TS-C via NCCT.
