Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented EVS Technician to join our team at Mercy Health System. As an EVS Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough cleaning of assigned areas, including patient rooms, floors, and ancillary areas.
  • Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, including infection prevention standards.
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, including the Xenex UV Light robot.
  • Restock supplies and maintain a clean and organized EVS closet and cart.
  • Report any safety hazards or equipment in need of repair to supervisor and/or Facilities.
  • Participate in special projects, including coordinating with affected departments and posting informational signs.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in environmental services or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull cleaning equipment.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their proper use.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
