Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist to join our team at TRA Medical Imaging. As a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing Diagnostic Radiologic exams in accordance with ARRT standards and ethics.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for radiologic exams with clear instructions and thorough explanations of the procedure.
- Obtain thorough patient histories as it relates to the exam to be completed.
- Assist Radiologists during Fluoroscopic procedures when applicable.
- Position patients correctly and accurately capture diagnostic images.
- Adhere to exam protocols as established by the department.
- Utilize proper radiation safety devices to avoid unnecessary radiation exposure.
- Shields patients from unnecessary radiation exposure.
- Assist and radiograph wheelchair patients as well as infants in positioning devices.
- Complete Modality Worksheets with accurate information for Radiologists.
- Maintain high standards regarding accurate recording of patient information.
- Utilize accurate written and oral communications with patients, physicians, co-workers, and supervisors.
- Perform necessary computer functions associated with patient exams.
- Keep work areas and patient exam areas neat and stocked with appropriate supplies.
- Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
- Maintain professional demeanor with confidentiality.
- Be prompt and efficient with minimal absence.
- ARRT (R) registered or Registry eligible.
- Valid Washington State Radiologic Technologist Certification.
- Current BLS certification required.
Work environment consists of normal office or administrative working conditions. There may be exposure to communicable diseases. There will be limited exposure to ionizing radiation.
