Overview:
As the Housekeeping Operations Manager, you will ensure that the Housekeeping Department maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and organization in guest rooms and public areas, aligning with guest expectations and our established service standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of room attendants, house persons, and inspectors, conducting regular meetings, inspecting work quality, and providing guidance to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Manage the recruitment, training, and performance evaluation processes, fostering open communication and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Develop staff schedules based on occupancy levels and upcoming projects, ensuring adequate coverage while managing payroll records accurately.
  • Maintain and analyze computerized records for budgeting and forecasting departmental expenses, as well as monitoring inspection scores.
  • Provide clear verbal and written communication to direct staff effectively.
  • Adhere to attendance policies and maintain regular availability for work.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of housekeeping experience, preferably in a similar hotel environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of hotel operations, including marketing strategies, safety protocols, personnel management, business planning, maintenance, budget forecasting, quality assurance, hospitality law, and strategic planning.
  • Strong leadership abilities to motivate and develop staff while achieving departmental goals; capable of prioritizing, planning, organizing, and delegating tasks effectively.
  • Excellent written communication skills, ensuring clarity and organization in all correspondence.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt style to different audiences, including supervisors, colleagues, and the public.
