Contract Duration: 12+ Months
Qualifications:
• Extensive contracting experience of 7-10 years at an intermediate to senior level.
• Proven expertise in RFP processes and bidding negotiations.
• Direct experience in non-IT sectors, particularly in large-scale construction projects.
• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent professional experience.
• Demonstrated success in delivering results and achieving set objectives.
• Strong ability to cultivate effective working relationships across various teams.
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams to drive project success.
• Proven capability to build consensus and support among stakeholders.
• Solid financial acumen and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• MBA degree.
• Certified Procurement Manager (CPM) credential.
• Minimum of three years in a leadership role.
• Experience in managing significant supplier agreements.
• Background in Shared Services organizations.
• Supply chain experience within the utility sector.
• Knowledge of category management and strategic sourcing methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and facilitate cross-functional category management teams to develop and maintain category strategies and performance metrics.
• Acquire in-depth knowledge of assigned spend management responsibilities.
• Conduct spend and performance analyses to monitor category performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Create forecasts for spending and performance improvements to track progress and ensure targets are met.
• Formulate action plans to capitalize on identified opportunities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define category requirements and priorities.
• Drive performance improvement initiatives as outlined in the category plan, including strategic sourcing efforts.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers to achieve favorable terms.
• Maintain and manage critical supplier agreements, including renewals and issue resolution.
• Develop and uphold supplier criticality ratings and manage key supplier relationships.
• Conduct regular reviews with critical suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and performance.
• Foster partnerships with key stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes and drive necessary decisions.
