We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team at Crossroads Care Center of West Green Bay. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping to plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of our Nursing Department.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement the facility's Nursing Program, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
- Meet and consult with the interdisciplinary team to develop and maintain restorative care standards.
- Ensure the nursing program meets national restorative nursing standards and requirements.
- Participate in the admission process, providing new Guests with a clear overview of the restorative program.
- Contribute to discharge planning, development, and implementation of Guest care plans and assessments.
- Perform administrative tasks, including charting, care planning, reports, and completing assigned MDS portions accurately and on time.
- Assist with the recruitment and selection of restorative nursing staff.
- Provide supervision to C.N.A's and subordinate staff, ensuring assignments are completed.
- Complete annual performance reviews of subordinate restorative staff, providing guidance and education as needed.
- Provide counseling and disciplinary action to subordinate staff members as needed.
- Participate in the disciplinary process of subordinate restorative staff.
- Perform other nursing care assignments as needed, working as a floor nurse when required.
- Ensure Guest care plans are followed and assess each Guest's status in accordance with their care plan.
- Round with physicians as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of individual care plans and support the care planning process by reporting specific information and observations of the Guest's needs, preferences, and behavioral changes.
- Ensure established infection control and standard precaution practices are maintained when providing care.
- Maintain the comfort, privacy, and dignity of Guests, interacting with them in a manner that displays warmth, respect, and promotes a caring environment.
- Respond to call lights promptly and courteously.
- Attend and participate in departmental meetings and in-services as directed.
- Be knowledgeable in data collection, data analysis methodology, and performance improvement methods needed to support and lead performance improvement projects.
- Identify opportunities for improvement through analysis of data, observation of operations, and consultation with leadership and staff.
