Job Summary

The City of Burleson, TX is seeking a highly skilled Budget and Fiscal Services Manager to lead the development and implementation of the city's budget and financial planning processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the city's annual operating and capital project budget, including revenue and expenditure projections.
  • Coordinate with departments to align budget goals with strategic plans and incorporate results into the adopted budget book.
  • Manage budget adjustments submitted by departments and perform financial management duties as needed.
  • Provide backup to other Finance Department responsibilities and general accounting operations.
  • Oversee capital projects throughout the city, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in public administration, finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Master's degree desired.
  • At least four to six years of experience in local government budgeting and reporting.
  • At least two years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Certified Government Finance Officer or similar certification is preferred.
