Job Summary

The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) at UHealth Tower delivers high-quality medical care to a diverse patient population. As a key member of our healthcare team, the APRN will examine and treat patients independently and in collaboration with other healthcare professionals. The successful candidate will ensure proper illness and injury care, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and document complete physical examinations and comprehensive health histories.
  • Function independently to perform age-appropriate history and physical for patients.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient's age-specific needs.
  • Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities.
  • Implement interventions to support the patient to regain or maintain physiologic stability.
  • Assist with the provision of care in accordance with facility, state, and federal regulations.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Facilitate the patient's transition within and between healthcare settings.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals.
  • Facilitate staff, patient, and family decision making by providing educational tools.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Valid State of Florida APRN License.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions.
  • Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
