Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of contracting experience.
- Intermediate to senior level expertise required.
- At least 5 years of experience with RFP processes.
- Experience in bidding and negotiations.
- Direct experience in non-IT sectors.
- Extensive construction experience on large-scale projects.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results and meet objectives.
- Proven track record in developing effective working relationships.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams.
- Ability to build support and achieve consensus.
- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills; MBA preferred.
- Certified Procurement Manager (CPM) is a plus.
- Minimum of three years in a leadership role.
- Experience managing significant supplier agreements.
- Experience in a Shared Services environment.
- Supply chain experience within the utility sector.
- Knowledgeable in category management and strategic sourcing practices.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and lead cross-functional category management teams to develop and maintain category plans and performance metrics.
- Gain in-depth knowledge of assigned spend management responsibilities.
- Conduct spend and performance analyses to monitor category effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.
- Develop forecasts for spending and performance improvements to track progress towards goals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define category requirements and build consensus on category plans.
- Lead initiatives for performance improvement as outlined in the category plan, including strategic sourcing efforts.
- Facilitate strategic sourcing and performance improvement teams to achieve savings and performance targets.
- Negotiate with suppliers as necessary.
- Maintain critical supplier agreements, including renewals and issue resolution.
- Manage supplier relationships and conduct Quarterly Business Reviews with key suppliers.
- Develop partnerships with stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
- Manage cross-functional category management and strategic sourcing teams as required.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to drive necessary decisions for achieving objectives.
