About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to lead our integrated maintenance organization and provide plant maintenance services to enable operations and other functions to meet or exceed business expectations in cost, quality, compliance, safety, culture, and capital. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of developing and implementing innovative solutions that drive continuous improvement and lead cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Maintenance Manager will be responsible for:
- Communicating a clear vision for a fully integrated maintenance team that is aligned with company goals.
- Providing leadership in the area of plant maintenance through the identification and introduction of innovative solutions that drive continuous improvement.
- Driving continuous improvement, exploring industry trends, developing strategies, and driving leading-edge technology and innovative solutions to develop core areas, new alternatives, and relevant strategies.
- Establishing, aligning, and executing capital spending strategies to effectively identify and invest in company assets.
- Clearly understanding procurement policies and working cross-functionally to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
- Developing staff and building a high-performance team through the utilization of a performance management process that sets expectations, ensures ongoing coaching/mentoring, and assesses employee performance.
- Leading projects and teams supporting large-scale company initiatives.
- Experience driving continuous improvement in energy conservation, waste management, recycling, and the reduction of water usage.
- Utilizing analytical, critical thinking, and structured root cause analysis techniques for problem-solving.
- Building technical competencies within the maintenance team, identifying and selecting maintenance talent when needed to support developing technology, and providing opportunities for knowledge acquisition and skills transfer within the team.
- Effectively controlling R&M budget for the operation with the expectation of meeting monthly and annual budget.
- Accountable for all action items being closed in a timely manner and include CAPA, change control, and Safety action items.
- Proposing and monitoring in accordance with key performance indicators.
- Monitoring plant/equipment to ensure optimal operation and reduction of planned/unplanned downtime.
- Partnering with Production and Quality Management daily to resolve technical and/or operational issues.
- Establishing and managing the yearly, monthly, weekly maintenance plans to ensure essential maintenance is completed within a reasonable time.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering required. MBA or other advanced degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 7-10 years in Plant Maintenance roles supporting manufacturing and/or utility operations.
- Successful experience in managing or leading maintenance teams including reliability-centered programs.
- Successful experience in managing people in a dynamic environment and a proven track record of developing people.
- Experience within a highly regulated environment required.
- Strong knowledge in areas of asset optimization, life cycle management, and project management.
- Knowledgeable in areas of regulatory requirements and equipment system qualification and validation.
- Significant experience in powder and liquid processing and packaging of food products, preferably within a highly regulated food or pharmaceutical environment.
- Knowledge of engineering and maintenance concepts and industry technology, project management, reliability practices, financial management as it relates to capital/expense spending, MRO, CMMS, etc. Understanding of manufacturing processes and mastery knowledge of utility sustainability, power supply, and demand.
We offer a competitive salary range of USD $104,000.00 to $156,000.00, depending on experience. In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to change each year.
