Job Summary
The Pastry Sous Chef - Carolina Exempt is responsible for assisting the Pastry Chef in producing high-quality baked goods and ensuring products are available at all times. This role involves driving a company vehicle and requires a valid driver's license, as well as successful completion of a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and annual MVRs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Pastry Chef in the production of all baked goods.
- Monitor workload of the Bakeshop staff and ensure they are meeting demands.
- Ensure all bakery items are of the highest quality.
- Manage and track production and outlet orders in Eatec.
- Develop weekly staffing schedule and ensure all areas are staffed to meet production demands.
- Maintain a high degree of cleanliness and sanitation, both personally and in the work area.
- Grow and maintain a strong working relationship with all Resort Culinary departments.
- Represent the Pastry Chef at relevant tasks or meetings during his absence.
Supervisory Responsibilities
The Pastry Sous Chef - Carolina Exempt manages two subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 10-15 employees in the Pastry/Bake Shop. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to effectively direct and evaluate the team.
Physical Demands
The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, and lifting up to pounds. The work environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to work in a team setting.
