Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Office Supervisor to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the inventory management and shipping processes for our residential heating and cooling equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of 15-20 people in managing heating and cooling finished goods inventory and raw material warehouses
  • Monitor and control shipping office administrative functions
  • Assist in planning, preparing, and administering departmental budgets
  • Serve as liaison with order management regarding scheduling, shippers, inventories, traffic, etc.
  • Handle employee relation issues such as training, discipline, vacations, rosters, and overtime
  • Authorize equipment requests, maintenance, and repair
  • Recommend packaging, warehousing, and equipment changes as needed
  • Implement barcode scanning on 2nd shift and supervise scanner implementation and new PFEP movements
  • Maintain inventory accuracy with rack location moment and line projects
  • Administer, coordinate, and implement needed changes in departmental policies and procedures
  • Plan and review day-to-day shipping/warehouse operations to ensure meeting established shipping schedules economically while maintaining quality standards
Requirements
  • A minimum of three years experience in a related field preferred
  • Ability to work 2nd shift (2:30 - 11pm)
  • Proficiency in a Windows operating environment, including e-mail and Microsoft Office software
  • SAP or other ERP experience
