As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving high-profile, cross-functional initiatives across the business involving complex legal and regulatory issues related to data protection and privacy risk management.
About the Role:The successful candidate will have a strong background in US and global privacy laws, regulations, and industry guidelines. You will be responsible for providing practical legal risk mitigation strategies for cloud products across multiple jurisdictions, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and advising on product development, online terms and conditions, and external communications.
Responsibilities:- Provide legal risk mitigation strategies for cloud products
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams
- Advise on product development, online terms and conditions, and external communications
- Draft, review, and negotiate data protection addendums and other data-related agreements
- J.D. degree and membership in at least one US state bar
- 8+ years of legal experience, including at a law firm and/or in-house experience with internet or technology companies
- Expertise in US and global privacy laws, regulations, and industry guidelines
- Experience with launching products and advising on the legal and regulatory aspects of product development in the technology space
- Experience collaborating in a multi-stakeholder environment
- Fluency in translating legal advice into actionable guidance for engineering, sales, and communications teams
- Ability to calibrate risk and communicate effectively with business and technical audiences
