We are looking for a committed Project Engineer specializing in Wastewater Initiatives to contribute to our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support a micro-tunneling wastewater initiative
- Collaborate with Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Assurance, and other support teams to ensure that infrastructure designs and construction scopes align with internal specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate system commissioning activities alongside Construction Managers and the Quality/Commissioning team.
- Act as a liaison among Engineering Program Managers, Engineers, Construction Managers, and Superintendents.
- Manage team communications and reporting effectively.
- Define project specifications and procure necessary materials, including drawing take-offs and ROM estimates, while initiating procurement processes.
- Maintain material logs and oversee deliveries.
- Establish project execution parameters in collaboration with Construction Managers.
- Manage RFI/Submittal Logs and set priorities.
- Initiate and monitor workflows, including submittal approvals.
- Identify and escalate field installation discrepancies to the Construction Management team and Engineers.
- Devise innovative solutions to overcome challenges and adhere to project timelines.
- Review schedules for accuracy and validate updates from the field team.
- Integrate internal and external engineering insights to mitigate risks in plant design and enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-7+ years of experience in a construction setting, encompassing both engineering and project roles. Experience in site development for new infrastructure is advantageous.
- Experience in supporting micro-tunneling wastewater projects is preferred
- Demonstrated exceptional capabilities, including a solid grasp of engineering principles and the ability to apply this knowledge to resolve complex technical challenges.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills, including interaction with suppliers and third-party firms.
- Proven ability to thrive under pressure while managing multiple tasks concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in MS Office, Primavera, and/or Autodesk software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of handling sensitive information.
- Adept at identifying issues and formulating corrective actions.
- Detail-oriented with robust organizational and record-keeping abilities.
