Key Responsibilities- Provide evidence-based treatment to veterans with acute or chronic mental illness, utilizing psychotropic medications, psychotherapy, and other modalities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, taking into account the unique needs and goals of each patient.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Conduct thorough assessments and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Counsel and treat patients with substance use disorders.
- Order and interpret lab results, tests, and diagnostic studies, and initiate referrals and consults to specialty services as needed.
- Master's or doctoral degree as a Nurse Practitioner from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration and certification as a Nurse Practitioner in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
- Basic Certification as a Nurse Practitioner from a nationally recognized certifying body, such as the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB).
- At least two years of experience in mental health.
