Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Echo Technician to join our team at Methodist Hospital. As a key member of our non-invasive cardiology department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic cardiac exams using echocardiograms, TEEs, carotid imaging, and other related examinations.

Responsibilities
  • Acquire and validate physician orders for all exams, ensuring patient consent and proper equipment operation.
  • Perform high-level disinfection and maintain equipment according to established policies and procedures.
  • Document patient reports accurately and efficiently, including pulling previous reports, presenting images to reading physicians, and entering proper patient charges.
  • Assist with head-up tilt table testing, carotid imaging, and other related examinations.
  • Support the mission and vision of Methodist Hospital, understanding and committing to helping the organization achieve its goals.
Requirements
  • Registry eligibility for RDCS/RDMS-FE from ARDMS or RCS from CCI.
  • Completion of an Associate's Degree or two-year patient-care related allied health education program, or equivalent.
  • One year of full-time clinical ultrasound/vascular ultrasound experience, or equivalent.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing STAT calls and communicating with patients and staff.
