Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at PARS Therapy in Arlington and Grand Prairie, TX areas.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with clients to develop, recover or maintain daily living and work skills. You will provide effective services that enable individuals to carry out everyday tasks confidently and independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Address client performance aspects to support engagement in occupations affecting health, well-being, and life quality.
  • Select and adapt occupational therapy treatment models, methods, and approaches to direct interventions.
  • Apply interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL).
  • Teach clients new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on breaking down activities into achievable components.
  • Assess client homes and other environments and advise on alterations consistent with their needs and capabilities.
  • Recommend adaptive equipment and train in its use.
  • Guide and educate family members and caregivers.
  • Observe, note, and report on progress of long- and short-term treatment goals.
  • Collect data and document processes followed.

Requirements
  • COTA certification required.
  • Home care or rehab experience preferred.
  • Proven working experience as Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant.
  • Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of Occupational Therapy.
  • Hands-on experience with computer programs and creative media.
  • Familiarity with ADLs evaluation tools.
  • Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities.
  • Current knowledge of treatment practices per discipline and drive to continually learn and grow in the profession.
Compensation

We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package, including multiple medical plans, spousal insurance, 401k options, PTO, and internal awards and recognition program.
