Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled CT Technologist to join our team in Richland, Washington. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality images for accurate diagnoses.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Patient Preparation and Communication:">
    • ">
    • Prepare patients for CT scans by explaining the procedure, answering any questions, and ensuring their comfort.">
    • Verify patient information, including medical history, allergies, and prior imaging, to ensure accurate diagnosis and appropriate imaging protocols.">
    ">
  • Operation of CT Equipment:">
    • ">
    • Operate and calibrate the CT scanner, ensuring proper settings for each scan, including parameters such as radiation dose, slice thickness, and imaging protocols.">
    • Administer contrast agents or dye injections (under physician or radiologist guidance) to enhance image clarity during certain CT procedures.">
    • Monitor the equipment during imaging to ensure high-quality images are captured and that no errors occur during the process.">

  • Patient Safety and Comfort:">
    • ">
    • Follow safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients, including using the lowest possible dose for effective imaging and utilizing shielding where appropriate.">
    • Maintain a sterile, safe, and clean environment in the CT room, ensuring all equipment is sanitized between patients.">
    • Ensure proper patient positioning to prevent any risk of injury or discomfort during the scan, especially for vulnerable patients such as those with spinal injuries, mobility challenges, or pregnant patients.">
    • Monitor patients for any adverse reactions to contrast agents and alert the physician or healthcare provider if necessary.">

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a valid certification as a CT Technologist from a recognized accrediting agency.">
  • Demonstrate expertise in operating CT scanners, as well as knowledge of radiation safety protocols and patient care principles.">
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.">
