Job Title: Road Supervisor

Transdev is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Road Supervisor to join our team in Milwaukee, WI. As a Road Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our transportation services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate job requirements and responsibilities to drivers
  • Responsible for day-to-day scheduling, counseling, and evaluation reports to local management
  • Conduct on-the-scene accident investigation; assist drivers in preparing accident reports, OSHA reports, and safety documents
  • Deliver driver training and safety courses; provide retraining and new driver training
  • Observe drivers on the road, correct safety problems, and document violations
  • Liaison between drivers and clients and organization in customer service issues
  • Evaluate and monitor driver safety and performance, employment, and labor policy matters
  • Assist Safety Manager with DOT/FTA compliance regarding drug testing and recordkeeping
  • Assist in dispatching, driving, interviewing, and miscellaneous clerical tasks as needed
  • Meet all driver qualifications at location
  • Maintain a License, PPVL, and other certifications required to operate vehicles at location and to drive routes periodically
  • Additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • A High School Diploma or GED
  • Prefer supervisory experience with hourly employees and 2-3 years of transit supervisory experience
  • Computer literate with working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Familiar with basic vehicle mechanical processes and maintenance
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Excellent verbal, written, and relational communication skills, with ability to appropriately interact with employees of all levels, including drivers, customers, senior management, client representatives, union officials, and the general public; fluent in English
  • Prefer Human Resources and training experience
  • Work extended hours regularly, including Saturday
  • Demonstrate regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
  • Possess a working vehicle to travel within the service area as needed
