Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Adult Intensive Care Unit (AICU) at Stony Brook Medicine. The successful candidate will provide exceptional care to critically ill adult patients and be an integral part of our multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient condition and nursing needs, coordinating with other health disciplines to develop and implement effective care plans.
- Administer direct care when professional nursing skills and judgment are required.
- Practice infection control and maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and Charge RN/Clinician regarding patient status and concerns.
- Develop and maintain current written care plans for assigned patients, prioritizing patient needs and setting goals.
Requirements:
- Possession of or eligibility for a license to practice as a registered nurse in New York State.
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and at least one year of previous hospital acute care experience.
