Medication Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medication Technician to join our team at Prestige Senior Living - Bridgewood. As a Medication Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents, ensuring their safety and well-being. Key Responsibilities- Administer medications to residents in accordance with physician orders and state regulations.
- Process physician medication and treatment orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide direct resident care, promoting dignity, independence, and choice.
- Monitor residents' physical and mental conditions, reporting changes to the Health Services Director and other relevant staff.
- Coordinate with pharmacies for medication orders and refills, ensuring seamless care transitions.
- Maintain accurate records of medication and treatment services provided or omitted, including controlled substances.
- Participate in training, in-services, and staff meetings to stay up-to-date on best practices and company policies.
- One or more years of personal care experience with older adults, preferably in a long-term care setting.
- State required medication pass certification or other required certification.
- Current CPR certification, First Aid training, and Food Handlers permit as required by state regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, promoting a positive and supportive work culture.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
