Job Summary

As a Child Safety Specialist with the Arizona Department of Child Safety, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of Arizona's children. This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess child safety and risk, and develop and implement case plans to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
  • Conduct interviews and gather information from families, agencies, and the courts to inform case planning and decision-making.
  • Respond to reported allegations of child abuse and/or neglect, and provide support and assistance to families in need.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including social workers, law enforcement, and healthcare providers, to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated response to child safety concerns.
  • Prepare and present case plans and reports to the courts, and participate in court hearings as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Four years of experience as a DCS Case Aide or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Department of Public Safety Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
