As a Lead Financial Strategist, you will be responsible for crafting intricate financial models that facilitate informed decision-making regarding multifaceted business challenges. This includes assessments related to new product initiatives, portfolio evaluations, and profitability analyses of emerging opportunities, alongside considerations of regulatory impacts, capital investments, revenue forecasting, and profit margin evaluations.

Your role will emphasize the importance of forecasting and analyzing current performance through the development and oversight of product metrics, as well as conducting both prospective and ongoing economic evaluations of products, marketing strategies, pricing structures, and business initiatives.

You will prepare and scrutinize monthly financial statements and reports to generate forecasts regarding business, industry, and economic conditions, which are essential for making prudent business decisions. Your analyses will also cover the financial implications of existing and proposed programs, addressing complex analytical requirements.

In addition, you will play a pivotal role in driving necessary changes to enhance the organization’s financial performance and assist in responding to intricate Request for Proposals (RFPs) as needed. You will also develop analytical tools aimed at improving efficiency in financial modeling and provide mentorship and constructive feedback to fellow analysts.


Key Responsibilities


1. Develop sophisticated financial models to aid management in decision-making related to new product development, portfolio analysis, profitability assessments, capital investments, revenue forecasting, and regulatory impact analysis.

2. Define financial requirements for new products and features, and analyze the division's financial statements, expenses, and records to formulate recommendations for management.

3. Conduct moderate to complex financial analyses, including research, design, and implementation of applications and tools to meet reporting and analytical needs.

4. Run various scenarios through financial models and interpret their impacts, measuring results against budgets and forecasts.

5. Assist in developing long-term financial plans while continuously analyzing operational financial outcomes, collaborating closely with other departments to ensure strategic objectives are met.

6. Support the annual budgeting process and continuously analyze actual versus budgeted figures, creating and maintaining detailed budgeting templates.

7. With minimal supervision, evaluate analytical tools and data formats, researching and developing new programs that enhance data integration for comprehensive financial modeling.

8. Where standard tools fall short, utilize statistical analysis software (SAS) for data modeling and analysis as required.

9. Review monthly financial operating results for assigned business units, identifying key trends, variances, and opportunities for performance improvement.

10. Provide management with insights and assistance regarding expenditures, purchases, and overall business costs.

11. Address complex RFP inquiries related to new business and client renewals, ensuring data integrity and accuracy in responses.

12. Conduct ad hoc analyses and forecasts for both internal management and external clients.

13. Offer guidance and training to junior analysts on financial modeling, data extraction techniques, and budgetary considerations, recommending best practices for data handling.

14. Clarify the intricate relationships within data, explaining how assumptions on one project may influence others during analyses.
